Located in Lodi, close to Milan, IBSA Farmaceutici Italia leverages on a highly qualified staff, including regulatory experts who act as the interface with the Italian authorities.

Besides its institutional tasks, IBSA Farmaceutici Italia runs its own production and marketing operations in the territory and has also played the main role in the industrial aggregation carried out in 2009 which resulted into the merge of AMSA (marketing company acquired in 1996) and Gelfipharma International (manufacturing company acquired in 2001).

In addition, in January 2010, IBSA Farmaceutici Italia has also acquired Bouty Healthcare, another Italian leader company focusing on pharmacies distribution.
